In use
Set the Groovy Gradient on a flat surface out of direct sunlight, in a room of 68 to 75°F, and switch it on. The wax flows after 2 to 3 hours. Switch the lamp off after 10 hours at most and give it 2 to 3 hours to cool before you move it.

- An outlet is within reach of the cord and its on/off switch
- Small children and pets cannot reach the lamp while it is on: the globe gets hot

Nice lava lamp
I really like the colors of the liquid and the lava and the design on the base and cap but I think it would be better if they just painted the design on the base and cap. The pattern doesn't line up on either the base or the cap resulting in a seam running down the back that doesn't look that good. I am still keeping mine but it would be nice if the company would correct this so it looks better
Questionable quality with new wax formula
Schylling changed their wax formula and the quality and performance has significantly decreased. Lamps often arrive very cloudy and the flow is very stiff. The instructions say to let it run and it will improve but that has not been the case with several that I've tried. Adding additional chemicals or a dimmer to control the heat in the only way to achieve the look of classic lamps.

Broken light
The lamp was cool. Everything worked as it should except they sent a broken lightbulb in it, and I had to buy my own.
