In use
Set the Emerald Tide on a flat surface out of direct sunlight, in a room of 68 to 75°F, and switch it on. The wax flows after 2 to 3 hours. Switch the lamp off after 10 hours at most and give it 2 to 3 hours to cool before you move it.

Beautiful and works great
The blue green coloring is beautiful and the movement is exactly like I want.I left my previous lava light on 24/7 and it gradually became less interesting movement. When the bulb went bad, the replacement bulb I picked out just didn't work very well.I have this new one on a timer to give it a break in the middle of the nice. I'm very happy with the results. When the bulb goes I may grit my teeth and buy a genuine replacement bulb.
Still great quality
Nothing better than the original! My daughter had one 15 years ago and now I got my son one and they both loved them! Works great… teenagers love them.
Love the size
I love this lava lamp but the colors are not as advertised. When it heats up the lava is a nasty yellow color not the vibrant green.

The size decides: the Emerald Tide stands 16.3 inches tall with a 52 oz globe, and the White & Blue Classic, 11.5 in stands 11.5 inches with 12 oz. The bigger globe needs a 40 W bulb.
